THE STORY OF CAMPING CROIX DU SUD ****
The location of the campground croix du sud *** was a former tine forest surrounded by vinyards created in 1959 at the time the famous movie of Roger Vadim "when god created woman" with Brigitte Bardot was filmed. St Tropez was a small fishermen village and pampelonne an untouched beach without any beach cottages or tourists.
After the nightmare of II World War, Aurel and Marguerite Schaerffe, ambitious idealists and ecologists from Alsace, with creative ideas, started to build this campsite in order to offer them affordable and splendid vacations.
With this spirit they were the pioneers of the campsite and even today their daughter Marie Christine continues their work.
